Core i9-10900F vs Core i5-13400F benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-13400F is faster than the Core i9-10900F. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i9-10900F in all gaming tests too.
Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count but the Core i9-10900F has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i9-10900F has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i5-13400F. Also, the Core i9-10900F has a slightly higher turbo speed. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core i9-10900F has slightly more L2 cache than the Core i5-13400F. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Core i9-10900F has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
