Core i5-9500T vs Xeon E5-2637 v3 benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Xeon E5-2637 v3 performs better than the Core i5-9500T. Despite this, the Core i5-9500T has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i5-9500T has significantly more cores with 6 cores whereas the Xeon E5-2637 v3 has 4 cores. Despite this, the Xeon E5-2637 v3 has more threads than the Core i5-9500T. With our hardware info, we find that the Xeon E5-2637 v3 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i5-9500T. Furthermore, both these CPUs have identical turbo speeds. A Core i5-9500T CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon E5-2637 v3 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i5-9500T has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
