Xeon W3580 vs A10-7890K benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Xeon W3580 beats the A10-7890K in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A10-7890K in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Xeon W3580 has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the A10-7890K has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the A10-7890K. With our hardware info, we find that the A10-7890K has a slightly higher clock speed than the Xeon W3580. Also, the A10-7890K has a slightly higher turbo speed. The A10-7890K outputs less heat than Xeon W3580 thanks to a slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the A10-7890K has more L2 cache than the Xeon W3580
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Xeon W3580 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
