Xeon E5-2637 v3 vs Core i5-12500T specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-12500T is faster than the Xeon E5-2637 v3. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon E5-2637 v3 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i5-12500T has significantly more cores with 6 cores whereas the Xeon E5-2637 v3 has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Xeon E5-2637 v3. With our hardware info, we find that the Xeon E5-2637 v3 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i5-12500T. Despite this, the Core i5-12500T has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i5-12500T outputs less heat than Xeon E5-2637 v3 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Xeon E5-2637 v3 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
