Xeon E5-1603 vs Core i7-4810MQ benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Xeon E5-1603 is faster than the Core i7-4810MQ. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-4810MQ in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Xeon E5-1603 has slightly more cores than the Core i7-4810MQ. Indeed, the Xeon E5-1603 has 4 cores compared to 3 cores found in the Core i7-4810MQ. Despite this, the Core i7-4810MQ has more threads than the Xeon E5-1603. The Core i7-4810MQ outputs less heat than Xeon E5-1603 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Xeon E5-1603 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
