Ryzen Z1 vs Ryzen 5 7600X3D comparison

In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 5 7600X3D beats the Ryzen Z1 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen Z1 in all gaming tests too.

When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Ryzen Z1 has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 7600X3D has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen Z1. Despite this, the Ryzen Z1 has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen Z1 CPU outputs less heat than a Ryzen 5 7600X3D CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. When comparing cache sizes, these CPUs have an identical amount of L2 cache. The Ryzen 5 7600X3D also has significantly more L3 cache.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen Z1 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
