Ryzen Threadripper 1900X vs Core i5-12600H benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen Threadripper 1900X is faster than the Core i5-12600H. Despite this, the Core i5-12600H has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i5-12600H has significantly more cores than the Ryzen Threadripper 1900X. Indeed, the Core i5-12600H has 12 cores compared to 8 cores found in the Ryzen Threadripper 1900X. But they both have the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Ryzen Threadripper 1900X has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-12600H. Despite this, the Core i5-12600H has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i5-12600H outputs less heat than Ryzen Threadripper 1900X thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The data shows that both these CPUs have same sized L2 caches. The Core i5-12600H also has slightly more L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Ryzen Threadripper 1900X has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
