Ryzen 9 5900HS vs Core i9-10900F specs and performance

In our benchmarks, the Core i9-10900F beats the Ryzen 9 5900HS in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 9 5900HS in all gaming tests too.

In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i9-10900F has slightly more cores than the Ryzen 9 5900HS. Indeed, the Core i9-10900F has 10 cores compared to 8 cores found in the Ryzen 9 5900HS. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 9 5900HS. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 9 5900HS has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i9-10900F. A Ryzen 9 5900HS CPU outputs less heat than a Core i9-10900F CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 9 5900HS has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i9-10900F. Despite this, the Core i9-10900F has slightly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 9 5900HS.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Ryzen 9 5900HS has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
