Ryzen 9 4900H vs Ryzen 7 PRO 4750G specs and performance

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 9 4900H performs better than the Ryzen 7 PRO 4750G. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 PRO 4750G in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the Ryzen 9 4900H has significantly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Ryzen 7 PRO 4750G has 5 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 7 PRO 4750G. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 PRO 4750G has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 9 4900H. In addition, both chips have the same turbo speed. A Ryzen 9 4900H CPU outputs less heat than a Ryzen 7 PRO 4750G CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The data shows that both these CPUs have same sized L2 caches and L3 cache.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Ryzen 9 4900H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
