Ryzen 9 4900H vs Ryzen 7 5700X benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 7 5700X is faster than the Ryzen 9 4900H. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 9 4900H in all gaming tests too.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. Our comparison shows that the Ryzen 7 5700X has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 9 4900H. Also, the Ryzen 7 5700X has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 9 4900H CPU outputs less heat than a Ryzen 7 5700X CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The data shows that both these CPUs have same sized L2 caches. The Ryzen 7 5700X also has significantly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 9 4900H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
