Ryzen 9 4900H vs Core i7-9700K benchmarks

In our benchmarks, the Core i7-9700K beats the Ryzen 9 4900H in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 9 4900H in all gaming tests too.

When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Ryzen 9 4900H has more threads. Our comparison shows that the Core i7-9700K has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 9 4900H. Also, the Core i7-9700K has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 9 4900H CPU outputs less heat than a Core i7-9700K CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 9 4900H has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i7-9700K. Despite this, the Core i7-9700K has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 9 4900H.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Ryzen 9 4900H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
