Ryzen 9 4900H vs Core i5-11600K benchmarks

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-11600K is faster than the Ryzen 9 4900H. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 9 4900H in all gaming tests too.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Ryzen 9 4900H has slightly more cores with 8 cores compared to the Core i5-11600K that has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i5-11600K. Our comparison shows that the Core i5-11600K has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 9 4900H. Also, the Core i5-11600K has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 9 4900H CPU outputs less heat than a Core i5-11600K CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Ryzen 9 4900H has more L2 cache than the Core i5-11600K. Despite this, the Core i5-11600K has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 9 4900H.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 9 4900H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
