Ryzen 7 7735HS vs Core i5-12600H comparison
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 7 7735HS performs better than the Core i5-12600H. Despite this, the Core i5-12600H has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i5-12600H has significantly more cores than the Ryzen 7 7735HS. Indeed, the Core i5-12600H has 12 cores compared to 8 cores found in the Ryzen 7 7735HS. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 7 7735HS has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i5-12600H. Also, the Ryzen 7 7735HS has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i5-12600H outputs less heat than Ryzen 7 7735HS thanks to a slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The data shows that both these CPUs have same sized L2 caches. The Core i5-12600H also has slightly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 7735HS has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
