Ryzen 7 4800H vs FX-8350 specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 7 4800H is faster than the FX-8350. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the FX-8350 in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Ryzen 7 4800H has significantly more cores than the FX-8350. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 4800H has 8 cores compared to 4 cores found in the FX-8350. It also has more threads than the FX-8350. Our comparison shows that the FX-8350 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 7 4800H. Furthermore, both these CPUs have identical turbo speeds. A Ryzen 7 4800H CPU outputs less heat than a FX-8350 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the FX-8350 has significantly more L2 cache than the Ryzen 7 4800H. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 4800H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
