Ryzen 7 4800H vs Core i9-9900K benchmarks

In our benchmarks, the Core i9-9900K beats the Ryzen 7 4800H in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 4800H in all gaming tests too.

Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i9-9900K has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 7 4800H. Also, the Core i9-9900K has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 7 4800H CPU outputs less heat than a Core i9-9900K CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 7 4800H has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i9-9900K. Despite this, the Core i9-9900K has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 7 4800H.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 4800H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
