Ryzen 7 4800H vs Core i7-8086K benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 7 4800H is faster than the Core i7-8086K. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-8086K in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Ryzen 7 4800H has slightly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Core i7-8086K has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i7-8086K. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i7-8086K has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 7 4800H. Also, the Core i7-8086K has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 7 4800H CPU outputs less heat than a Core i7-8086K CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Ryzen 7 4800H has more L2 cache than the Core i7-8086K. Despite this, the Core i7-8086K has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 7 4800H.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 4800H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
