Ryzen 7 4800H vs Core i7-10700K benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i7-10700K performs better than the Ryzen 7 4800H. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 4800H in all gaming tests too.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i7-10700K has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 7 4800H. Also, the Core i7-10700K has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 7 4800H CPU outputs less heat than a Core i7-10700K CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Ryzen 7 4800H has more L2 cache than the Core i7-10700K. Despite this, the Core i7-10700K has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 7 4800H.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 4800H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
