Ryzen 7 4800H vs Core i5-1350P specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 7 4800H beats the Core i5-1350P in overall performance. Despite this, the Core i5-1350P has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i5-1350P has significantly more cores with 12 cores compared to the Ryzen 7 4800H that has 8 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 7 4800H has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i5-1350P. Despite this, the Core i5-1350P has a slightly higher turbo speed. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core i5-1350P has significantly more L2 cache than the Ryzen 7 4800H. The Core i5-1350P also has significantly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 4800H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
