Ryzen 7 4700U vs Xeon E-2176M specs and performance
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 7 4700U performs better than the Xeon E-2176M. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon E-2176M in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Ryzen 7 4700U has slightly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Xeon E-2176M has 6 cores. Despite this, the Xeon E-2176M has more threads than the Ryzen 7 4700U. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Xeon E-2176M has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 7 4700U. Also, the Xeon E-2176M has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 7 4700U CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon E-2176M CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Ryzen 7 4700U has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
