Ryzen 7 4700U vs Core i5-13600K comparison

In our benchmarks, the Core i5-13600K beats the Ryzen 7 4700U in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 4700U in all gaming tests too.

Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the Core i5-13600K has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-13600K has a significantly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 7 4700U. Also, the Core i5-13600K has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 7 4700U CPU outputs less heat than a Core i5-13600K CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The data shows that both these CPUs have same sized L2 caches. The Core i5-13600K also has significantly more L3 cache.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Ryzen 7 4700U has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
