Ryzen 7 4700U vs Core i5-11400 comparison

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i5-11400 performs better than the Ryzen 7 4700U. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 4700U in all gaming tests too.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Ryzen 7 4700U has slightly more cores with 8 cores compared to the Core i5-11400 that has 6 cores. Despite this, the Core i5-11400 has more threads than the Ryzen 7 4700U. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Core i5-11400 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 7 4700U. Also, the Core i5-11400 has a slightly higher turbo speed.
