Ryzen 7 4700U vs Core i3-10105F benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 7 4700U performs better than the Core i3-10105F. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i3-10105F in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Ryzen 7 4700U has significantly more cores than the Core i3-10105F. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 4700U has 8 cores compared to 4 cores found in the Core i3-10105F. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i3-10105F has a significantly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 7 4700U. Also, the Core i3-10105F has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 7 4700U CPU outputs less heat than a Core i3-10105F CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Ryzen 7 4700U has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
