Ryzen 5 7600X3D vs Ryzen 5 5500X3D benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 5 7600X3D beats the Ryzen 5 5500X3D in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 5500X3D in all gaming tests too.
Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count but the Ryzen 5 5500X3D has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 7600X3D has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 5 5500X3D. Also, the Ryzen 5 7600X3D has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 5 7600X3D CPU outputs less heat than a Ryzen 5 5500X3D CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 5 7600X3D has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Ryzen 5 5500X3D. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Ryzen 5 7600X3D has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
