Ryzen 5 7500F vs Core i7-14700T benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 5 7500F performs better than the Core i7-14700T. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-14700T in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i7-14700T has significantly more cores with 20 cores compared to the Ryzen 5 7500F that has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 5 7500F. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 7500F has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i7-14700T. Despite this, the Core i7-14700T has a slightly higher turbo speed. In terms of cache, the Core i7-14700T has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Ryzen 5 7500F. The Core i7-14700T also has slightly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 7500F has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
