Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 9 3900XT performs better than the Ryzen 5 5600X. Despite this, the Ryzen 5 5600X has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Ryzen 9 3900XT has significantly more cores with 12 cores compared to the Ryzen 5 5600X that has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 5 5600X. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 9 3900XT has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 5 5600X.
