Ryzen 5 5600X vs A6-9500 comparison
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 5 5600X beats the A6-9500 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A6-9500 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Ryzen 5 5600X has significantly more cores with 6 cores whereas the A6-9500 has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the A6-9500. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 5600X has a slightly higher clock speed than the A6-9500. Also, the Ryzen 5 5600X has a slightly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 5 5600X has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the A6-9500
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 5600X has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
