Ryzen 5 4500U vs Ryzen 5 PRO 3350G benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 5 PRO 3350G is faster than the Ryzen 5 4500U. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 4500U in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Ryzen 5 4500U has significantly more cores with 6 cores compared to the Ryzen 5 PRO 3350G that has 4 cores. Despite this, the Ryzen 5 PRO 3350G has more threads than the Ryzen 5 4500U. Our comparison shows that the Ryzen 5 PRO 3350G has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 5 4500U. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 5 4500U has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Ryzen 5 PRO 3350G. The Ryzen 5 4500U also has significantly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Ryzen 5 4500U has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
