Ryzen 5 4500U vs Core i7-10810U comparison
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 5 4500U performs better than the Core i7-10810U. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-10810U in all gaming tests too.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Core i7-10810U has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 4500U has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i7-10810U. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Ryzen 5 4500U has more L2 cache than the Core i7-10810U. Despite this, the Core i7-10810U has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 5 4500U.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Ryzen 5 4500U has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
