Ryzen 5 2400GE vs Core i3-1315U benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Core i3-1315U beats the Ryzen 5 2400GE in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 2400GE in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i3-1315U has significantly more cores than the Ryzen 5 2400GE. Indeed, the Core i3-1315U has 6 cores compared to 4 cores found in the Ryzen 5 2400GE. But they both have the same number of threads. Our comparison shows that the Ryzen 5 2400GE has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i3-1315U. Despite this, the Core i3-1315U has a slightly higher turbo speed. In terms of cache, both these CPUs have the same amount of L2 cache. The Core i3-1315U also has significantly more L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 2400GE has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
