Ryzen 3 PRO 3200G vs Ryzen 5 PRO 2500U benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 5 PRO 2500U beats the Ryzen 3 PRO 3200G in overall performance. Despite this, the Ryzen 3 PRO 3200G has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count but the Ryzen 5 PRO 2500U has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 3 PRO 3200G has a significantly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 5 PRO 2500U. Also, the Ryzen 3 PRO 3200G has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Ryzen 5 PRO 2500U outputs less heat than Ryzen 3 PRO 3200G thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The data shows that both these CPUs have same sized L2 caches and L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Ryzen 3 PRO 3200G has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
