Ryzen 3 PRO 3200G vs Ryzen 5 7520U benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 3 PRO 3200G performs better than the Ryzen 5 7520U. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 7520U in all gaming tests too.
Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the Ryzen 5 7520U has more threads. Our comparison shows that the Ryzen 3 PRO 3200G has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 5 7520U. Despite this, the Ryzen 5 7520U has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Ryzen 5 7520U outputs less heat than Ryzen 3 PRO 3200G thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. When comparing cache sizes, these CPUs have an identical amount of L2 cache and L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Ryzen 3 PRO 3200G has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
