Ryzen 3 4300U vs Core i7-10810U comparison
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 3 4300U performs better than the Core i7-10810U. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-10810U in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i7-10810U has significantly more cores than the Ryzen 3 4300U. Indeed, the Core i7-10810U has 6 cores compared to 4 cores found in the Ryzen 3 4300U. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 3 4300U. Our comparison shows that the Ryzen 3 4300U has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i7-10810U. Despite this, the Core i7-10810U has a slightly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 3 4300U has slightly more L2 cache than the Core i7-10810U. Despite this, the Core i7-10810U has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 3 4300U.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Ryzen 3 4300U has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
