Ryzen 3 3100 vs Ryzen 7 4700U benchmarks

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 7 4700U performs better than the Ryzen 3 3100. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 3 3100 in all gaming tests too.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Ryzen 7 4700U has significantly more cores with 8 cores compared to the Ryzen 3 3100 that has 4 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 3 3100 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 7 4700U. Despite this, the Ryzen 7 4700U has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Ryzen 7 4700U outputs less heat than Ryzen 3 3100 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 4700U has significantly more L2 cache than the Ryzen 3 3100. Despite this, the Ryzen 3 3100 has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 7 4700U.
