Radeon RX 7900 XT vs GeForce RTX 4070 Ti benchmarks
For gaming, the Radeon RX 7900 XT graphics card is better than the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti in our tests.
Our database shows that the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti has a slightly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. In addition, the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti also has a slightly higher boost clock speed. The boost clock speed is the frequency that the GPU core can reach if the temperature is low enough. The allows for higher performance in certain scenarios.
Furthermore, the spec sheet for both these GPUs show that the Radeon RX 7900 XT has significantly more memory with 20 GiB of memory compared to 12 GiB. Memory size doesn't directly affect performance, but too little memory will certainly degrade gaming performance.
In addition, the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti has a slightly lower TDP at 285 W when compared to the Radeon RX 7900 XT at 315 W. TDP (Thermal Design Power) measures total heat output from the chip.
In conclusion, all specs and GPU benchmarks considered, will recommend the Radeon RX 7900 XT over the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti.
