Radeon RX 480 vs Radeon RX 6750 XT specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the Radeon RX 6750 XT beats the Radeon RX 480 in gaming performance.
In our comparison, the Radeon RX 6750 XT has a significantly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. In addition, the Radeon RX 6750 XT also has a significantly higher boost clock speed. The boost clock speed is the frequency that the GPU core can reach if the temperature is low enough. The allows for higher performance in certain scenarios.
As stated by the manufacturer, the Radeon RX 6750 XT has significantly more memory with 12 GiB of memory compared to 8 GiB. If you're planning at playing games at high resolutions with high-quality textures, you will need a lot of memory.
In addition, the Radeon RX 480 has a significantly lower TDP at 150 W when compared to the Radeon RX 6750 XT at 250 W. This is not a measure of performance, but rather the amount of heat generated by the chip when running at its highest speed.
In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the Radeon RX 6750 XT is better than the Radeon RX 480.
