Radeon RX 480 vs GeForce GTX 650 specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the Radeon RX 480 beats the GeForce GTX 650 in gaming performance.
Our database shows that the Radeon RX 480 has a slightly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation.
As stated by the manufacturer, the Radeon RX 480 has significantly more memory with 8 GiB of memory compared to 2 GiB. If you're planning at playing games at high resolutions with high-quality textures, you will need a lot of memory.
In addition, the GeForce GTX 650 has a significantly lower TDP at 64 W when compared to the Radeon RX 480 at 150 W. This is not a measure of performance, but rather the amount of heat generated by the chip when running at its highest speed.
In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the Radeon RX 480 is better than the GeForce GTX 650.
