Radeon R7 360 vs GeForce GTX 660 benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark, the GeForce GTX 660 GPU is faster than the Radeon R7 360 in gaming.
The Radeon R7 360 has a slightly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. Despite this, the GeForce GTX 660 has a slightly higher boost clock speed: the maximum frequency the chip can reach if power delivery and thermals allow.
As stated by the manufacturer, the GeForce GTX 660 has significantly more memory with 3 GiB of memory compared to 2 GiB. Memory size doesn't directly affect performance, but too little memory will certainly degrade gaming performance.
In addition, the Radeon R7 360 has a slightly lower TDP at 100 W when compared to the GeForce GTX 660 at 140 W. This is not a measure of performance, but rather the amount of heat generated by the chip when running at its highest speed.
In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the GeForce GTX 660 is better than the Radeon R7 360.
