Quadro K6000 vs Radeon HD 7990 comparison
In our benchmarks, the Radeon HD 7990 beats the Quadro K6000 in gaming performance.
Our database shows that the Radeon HD 7990 has a slightly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. In addition, the Radeon HD 7990 also has a slightly higher boost clock speed. This is a frequency that can be reached if the GPU is cooled sufficiently and has enough power.
Furthermore, the spec sheet for both these GPUs show that the Quadro K6000 has significantly more memory with 12 GiB of memory compared to 3 GiB. Memory size doesn't directly affect performance, but too little memory will certainly degrade gaming performance.
In addition, the Quadro K6000 has a significantly lower TDP at 225 W when compared to the Radeon HD 7990 at 375 W. This is not a measure of performance, but rather the amount of heat generated by the chip when running at its highest speed.
In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the Radeon HD 7990 is better than the Quadro K6000.
