Phenom II X6 1055T vs Xeon W3550 specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Xeon W3550 is faster than the Phenom II X6 1055T. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Phenom II X6 1055T in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Phenom II X6 1055T has significantly more cores with 6 cores whereas the Xeon W3550 has 4 cores. Despite this, the Xeon W3550 has more threads than the Phenom II X6 1055T. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Xeon W3550 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Phenom II X6 1055T. The info from our database shows that the Phenom II X6 1055T has more L2 cache than the Xeon W3550. Despite this, the Xeon W3550 has slightly more L3 cache compared to the Phenom II X6 1055T.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Phenom II X6 1055T has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
