Phenom II X4 960T vs N95 specs and performance

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the N95 performs better than the Phenom II X4 960T. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Phenom II X4 960T in all gaming tests too.

When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. Our comparison shows that the Phenom II X4 960T has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the N95. The data shows that both these CPUs have same sized L2 caches and L3 cache.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Phenom II X4 960T has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
