Pentium G3220T vs Pentium Silver N5030 specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the Pentium Silver N5030 beats the Pentium G3220T in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Pentium G3220T in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Pentium Silver N5030 has significantly more cores with 4 cores compared to the Pentium G3220T that has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the Pentium G3220T. Our comparison shows that the Pentium G3220T has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Pentium Silver N5030. The Pentium Silver N5030 outputs less heat than Pentium G3220T thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Pentium G3220T has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
