Pentium E6300 vs Core i7-2670QM specs and performance
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Pentium E6300 performs better than the Core i7-2670QM. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-2670QM in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i7-2670QM has significantly more cores with 4 cores compared to the Pentium E6300 that has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the Pentium E6300. With our hardware info, we find that the Pentium E6300 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i7-2670QM. The Core i7-2670QM outputs less heat than Pentium E6300 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Pentium E6300 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
