N97 vs Core i3-N300 specs and performance

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i3-N300 performs better than the N97. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the N97 in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the Core i3-N300 has significantly more cores with 8 cores whereas the N97 has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the N97. Our comparison shows that the N97 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i3-N300. In terms of cache, the Core i3-N300 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the N97. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the N97 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
