Iris 5100 vs Radeon R5 comparison

For gaming, the Iris 5100 graphics card is better than the Radeon R5 in our tests.

By comparing the spec sheets, both the Iris 5100 and the Radeon R5 have the same base clock speed. Despite this, the Iris 5100 has a slightly higher boost clock speed: the maximum frequency the chip can reach if power delivery and thermals allow.

In addition, the Radeon R5 has a significantly lower TDP at 15 W when compared to the Iris 5100 at 30 W. This is not a measure of performance, but rather the amount of heat generated by the chip when running at its highest speed.

In conclusion, all specs and GPU benchmarks considered, will recommend the Iris 5100 over the Radeon R5.
