GeForce RTX 3090 vs Radeon VII comparison
In our benchmarks, the GeForce RTX 3090 beats the Radeon VII in gaming performance.
Our database shows that both the GeForce RTX 3090 and Radeon VII both have the same core clock speed. Despite this, the Radeon VII has a slightly higher boost clock speed. This is a frequency that can be reached if the GPU is cooled sufficiently and has enough power.
Furthermore, the spec sheet for both these GPUs show that the GeForce RTX 3090 has significantly more memory with 24 GiB of memory compared to 16 GiB. Lots of memory is good when playing at high resolutions or with many monitors.
In addition, the Radeon VII has a slightly lower TDP at 300 W when compared to the GeForce RTX 3090 at 350 W. TDP (Thermal Design Power) measures total heat output from the chip.
In conclusion, all specs and GPU benchmarks considered, will recommend the GeForce RTX 3090 over the Radeon VII.
