GeForce RTX 3090 vs Quadro RTX 5000 benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the GeForce RTX 3090 beats the Quadro RTX 5000 in gaming performance.
In our comparison, the Quadro RTX 5000 has a slightly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. In addition, the Quadro RTX 5000 also has a slightly higher boost clock speed. The boost clock speed is the frequency that the GPU core can reach if the temperature is low enough. The allows for higher performance in certain scenarios.
In addition, the Quadro RTX 5000 has a significantly lower TDP at 230 W when compared to the GeForce RTX 3090 at 350 W. This is not a measure of performance, but rather the amount of heat generated by the chip when running at its highest speed.
According to the results of the hardwareDB benchmark utility, the GeForce RTX 3090 is faster than the Quadro RTX 5000.
