GeForce RTX 3090 Ti vs Radeon RX 7800 XT benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Radeon RX 7800 XT beats the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti in gaming performance.
Our database shows that the Radeon RX 7800 XT has a slightly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. In addition, the Radeon RX 7800 XT also has a significantly higher boost clock speed. The boost clock speed is the frequency that the GPU core can reach if the temperature is low enough. The allows for higher performance in certain scenarios.
Next up, in terms of GPU memory, the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti has significantly more memory with 24 GiB of memory compared to 16 GiB. Memory size doesn't directly affect performance, but too little memory will certainly degrade gaming performance.
In addition, the Radeon RX 7800 XT has a significantly lower TDP at 263 W when compared to the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti at 450 W. TDP (Thermal Design Power) measures total heat output from the chip.
According to the results of the hardwareDB benchmark utility, the Radeon RX 7800 XT is faster than the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti.
