GeForce RTX 3090 Ti vs GeForce RTX 4090 specs and performance

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark, the GeForce RTX 4090 GPU is faster than the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti in gaming.

The GeForce RTX 4090 has a significantly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. In addition, the GeForce RTX 4090 also has a significantly higher boost clock speed. The boost clock speed is the frequency that the GPU core can reach if the temperature is low enough. The allows for higher performance in certain scenarios.

Furthermore, the spec sheet for both these GPUs show that they both have the same amount of memory at 24 GiB. Memory size doesn't directly affect performance, but too little memory will certainly degrade gaming performance.

In addition, both the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti and the GeForce RTX 4090 have an identical TDP. TDP (Thermal Design Power) measures total heat output from the chip.

In conclusion, all specs and GPU benchmarks considered, will recommend the GeForce RTX 4090 over the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti.
