GeForce RTX 3060 Ti vs Radeon RX 6800 XT benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Radeon RX 6800 XT beats the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti in gaming performance.
In our comparison, the Radeon RX 6800 XT has a significantly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. In addition, the Radeon RX 6800 XT also has a slightly higher boost clock speed. This is a frequency that can be reached if the GPU is cooled sufficiently and has enough power.
As stated by the manufacturer, the Radeon RX 6800 XT has significantly more memory with 16 GiB of memory compared to 8 GiB. Lots of memory is good when playing at high resolutions or with many monitors.
In addition, the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti has a significantly lower TDP at 200 W when compared to the Radeon RX 6800 XT at 300 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.
In conclusion, all specs and GPU benchmarks considered, will recommend the Radeon RX 6800 XT over the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti.
