GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop vs Radeon RX 6650 XT comparison
For gaming, the Radeon RX 6650 XT graphics card is better than the GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop in our tests.
In our comparison, the Radeon RX 6650 XT has a significantly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. In addition, the Radeon RX 6650 XT also has a significantly higher boost clock speed. The boost clock speed is the frequency that the GPU core can reach if the temperature is low enough. The allows for higher performance in certain scenarios.
Next up, in terms of GPU memory, the Radeon RX 6650 XT has slightly more memory with 8 GiB of memory compared to 5.97 GiB. If you're planning at playing games at high resolutions with high-quality textures, you will need a lot of memory.
In addition, the GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop has a significantly lower TDP at 80 W when compared to the Radeon RX 6650 XT at 176 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.
According to the results of the hardwareDB benchmark utility, the Radeon RX 6650 XT is faster than the GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop.
